Kellie Cerin - 2/1/07 Horsewoman, trainer of show jumpers, and wife of trainer Vladimir Cerin, heart attack while vacationing.

Ever Fout - Noted equine artist and co-founder of the American Academy of Equine Art passed away 12/5/07 at 78.

Ed Friendly - 6/17/07 at 85.  California owner, founding member of  Thoroughbred Owners of CA passed away after battling cancer.

Leonard Fruchtman - 12/22/07.  Owner of Preakness winner Bally Ache passed away at age 86.

Martha Gerry - 9/17/07 following heart surgery.  Honored this year as an Exemplar of Racing, Mrs. Gerry campaigned Forego.

Frank Gomez - 12/23/07 at 78.   Recently retired Florida trainer passed away at his home.

Carl Grether - California owner passed away 7/1/07 at age 80 from complications of Parkinson's disease.

Merv Griffin - 8/12/07 at 82.  Passed away after battle with prostate cancer.  Best known for his entertainment industry achievements, he was a friend of the horse and dedicated Thoroughbred owner.

James Halket - former trainer passed away  in 6/2006 at age 92.

Oscar Hall - 3/3/07 at 78.  Trainer passed away at Vets Hospital .  Services  held at Turfway Park.

Trudy McCaffery - 2/12/07 at 62 following a long battle with cancer. Breeder and owner of G1 winners such as Free House, she was instrumental in industry related charitable projects.  Her ashes will be scattered where Free House stood as a stallion.

Art McCready - Longacres starter passed away i6/13/07 at age 83 following a long illness.

Dorothy McCutcheon - former trainer died of heart failure on 4/25/07 at 80.

Rolland McMaster - prominent Michigan breeder passed away 10/07 at 93.

William McMeans - 3/6/07 at 69.  Washington trainer passed away at his home following long illness.

Henry Moreno - 2/1/07 at 77 of pancreatic cancer.  Mr. Moreno was the jockey aboard Dark Star who defeated Native Dancer in the 1953 Kentucky Derby.

John Morgan - 12/16/07 at 76.  Retired trainer passed away from cancer.

Damien Murphy - 1/26/07 at 23 - died following injuries sustained in racing accident.

Michael Murphy - 4/2007 at 58.  Passed away days after cerebral hemorrhage  while working at Tampa Bay barn.

Dr. Tony Ryan - Passed away 9/3/07 at age 71 after battle with cancer.  Active in the Thoroughbred industry, Dr Ryan established Castleton Lyons farm in KY in 2001, in addition to  Lyons Demesne in Ireland.

David Wickins - 1/2007 at 86 - TB owner who sponsored Bob Champion passed away one month short of 87th birthday.

Gus Williams - 4/12/07 at 81.  Member of Sackatoga Stable passed away following a recent stroke.

Louis Wolfson - Passed away 12/30/07 at age 95.  The Wolfson family bred and campaigned Triple Crown winner Affirmed as well as numerous stakes horses.

Dick Worsley - 1/7/07 at 73, flat and steeplechase jockey in UK, then trainer in US, succumbed to cancer.

Roy Yaka - Former jockey and trainer passed away in  February at 76 following  lengthy illness.

Philippe Zanotti - Involved in the Kentucky Thoroughbred industry, passed away 6/9/07 in fatal traffic accident at 44.

At age 4,  following his courageous battle.

Condolences to the Jacksons, Doctors and staff of New Bolton, Michael Matz and staff, and all friends of Barbaro.

 
Beorn (English Shire) and Shiloh (Quarter Horse) - 2/8/07 in South Carolina - Columbia Police Department mounts were killed in an auto accident when ejected from their trailer.
 

For Willie, who left us this year to watch over his horses.

 
7 horses perished in Lexington barn fire in the early morning hours of 3/23/07 at Hipp Farm.  Included in the number were 2 Saddlebreds (Chat and Maui Girl), and 5 Thoroughbreds (3  mares and 2 foals, identity unknown).
6 horses killed in a Frankfort Kentucky barn fire at the Stewart Home School when it was struck by lightning.  The horses were used in a therapy program for disabled students at the school.

UPDATE: 1/1/08 School has begun rebuilding and will be replacing the horses.

 

On 4/7/07 we sadly bid farewell to Hendrix.

Hendrix always gave his best and was lost following a tragic breakdown in the Arcadia Handicap at Santa Anita.  He was 6.  Hendrix is pictured above on October 4, 2006 at Keeneland with his muzzle firmly embedded in the hay net while taking in the view of the shed row.  The saddle cloth was worn in his 2nd place finish in the GII 2006 American Handicap at Hollywood Park.   RIP good boy.   Click for more photos of Hendrix.

Nightstorm - 11/20/07 at 13.  Dam of Nobiz Like Shobiz, in foal to Bernardini, suffered fracture in paddock accident and was euthanized.

Nip It - 12/19/07 at 4.  Clipped heels in beginning of race, then broke down and was euthanized.

No Allegiance - 12/31/07 at 5.  Fell past the wire after Aqueduct victory and was euthanized due to right front fracture.

Northern Baby - 2/21/07 euthanized due to the infirmities of old age, at 31.

Northwest Hill - broke down at age 9 in $5K claiming race at Prairie Meadows on 6/30/07 at Prairie Meadows and was euthanized.

Ola Olimpica (ARG) -  Fractured sesamoid in running of Gran Premio Saturnino J. Unzue on 3/11, and was euthanized 4/14/07 at 3.

Old Thunder - 2/23/07 at 4.  Broke shoulder racing at Santa Anita.  Euthanized after developing pneumonia during attempted treatment.

Olympic Prospect - 2/17/07 at 23.   Multiple graded stakes winner euthanized due to infirmities of old age.

Omi - week of 5/1/07 at 14.  Euthanized due to colic, Omi had foaled a Vindication filly on 4/22/07.

One Way Street - 5/2007 at 26, after foaling Compton Admiral colt.  Colt placed on nurse mare.

Outofthebluebell - 8/23/07 at 22.  Complications of strangulated small intestine.

*Padron - (Arab stallion) Multiple champion titled horse and sire died 6/29/07 at 30 of heart failure.

Paradisus - 2/14/07 at 7.  Euthanized following breakdown while working.

Parkhimonbroadway - 2/4/06 at 4 - broke down Santa Anita and was euthanized.

Parose - 10/07 at 13.  Long running stakes winner of over $1 million, who retired at age 12 to Long Run Thoroughbred Retirement Foundation, was euthanized due to complications of colic.

Patricia Ann B - 7/1/07 at 3.  Flipped in paddock at Delaware, fractured skull, and was euthanized.

Personal Bid - 11/2007 at 17.  In foal to Broken Vow, she succumbed to heart attack.

Pipe Bomb - 7/22/07 at 8.  Broke down at Suffolk Downs and was euthanized on track.

Play the Gold - 11/2007 at 15, he was Peru's leading sire in 2001.  Cause of death not stated.

Please Be Quick - 2/21/07 at 3.  Euthanized following horse van midhap during transport to Belmont Park.

Point of Order - 3/2007 at 3.  Sustained hairline fracture of pelvis at Aqueduct 3/25/07.  Under vet recommendation, she was confined to stall rest.  Officials requested move, as stall space was needed.  During transport to Belmont Park, she fractured tibia, thigh, and left rear leg in trailer fall.

Polish King - 9/8/07 at 4.  Broke down in $4,000 claiming race at Finger Lakes.  Son of Langfuhr, out of Ferdinand mare, RIP.

Poppy's Image - 7/6/07 at 7.  Pulled up lame at Colonial Downs and was euthanized.

Post Invader - 11/18/07 at 3. Flipped in paddock and was euthanized.

Private School - 12/17/07 at 2.  Multiple stakes winner died of apparent aneurysm.

Prospector Jones - 1/2007 at 15 - complications of colic

Queena - 12/7/07 at 21.  Eclipse Award winning mare euthanized due to complications of colic.  Bred earlier in the year, she was not in foal.

Queenledo - 11/2007 at 5.  Three time Washington state champion succumbed due to twisted colon as a result of colic.  Queena was buried at Middlebrook Farm, KY.

Quiet Resolve - 2/1/07 at 12 - injured after colic surgery when attempting to stand

Racey Dreamer - 4/20/07 at 8.  Fell at jump during Royal Chase Steeplechase, fracturing leg, and was euthanized.

Rain on the Plain - 10/10/07 at 2.  Fractured sesamoids and was euthanized.

Rainbow Quest - 7/7/07 at 26.  Euthanized due to complications following colic surgery.

Raise a Man - 7/22/07 at 30, pensioned in March, he died of   natural causes.

Rakeen - 5/2007 at 20.  Euthanized due to complications from previous hock injury.

Ready to Rock -7/1/07 at Colonial Downs after falling over jump in steeplechase.

Rebel Rebel - 4/2007 at 5.  Fractured right front cannon bone in Hong Kong Mile 12/2006.  Was undergoing treatment in Hong Kong and was euthanized due to complications of laminitis.

Regal Band - 4/9/07 at age 20.  Dam of Monarchos died at Rood and Riddle, undergoing treatment for long term liver disorder.  She was carrying an Empire Maker colt which was due in May.

Remittance Man - 12/13/07 at 3.  Fractured left front cannon bone and was euthanized.

Rhythm - 9/4/07 at 20.  Fractured leg in paddock accident and was euthanized.

Riley's Buddha - 3/20/07 at 3 - broke down at Penn National, Race 1.  Jockeys refused to ride after 2nd breakdown in race 2, citing track conditions.  Penn National denies a problem, although card was cancelled.

Risk Assessment - 9/20/07 at 3.  Euthanized on track following win at Presque Isle Downs after breaking down past the wire.

Robellino -7/4/07 at 29.  Euthanized at Litton Stud, UK, due to the infirmities of old age.

Roi Normand - 2/20/07 at 24 of colic at Haras Santa Ana do Rio Grande in Brazil.

Romy - 2/19/07 Sorrel Mustang, resident of Fair Dinkum Farm Equine Rescue, sadly moved on to other pastures.  He will be missed.

Rory's Jester - 3/2007 at age 24.  Pensioned from stallion duty in 2006, he was euthanized due to infirmities of old age.

Roxan (IRE) - 3/2007 at 3 of colic.  Bay filly was First states winner for Rock of Gibraltar.

Royal Change - 5/17/07 at 4. Fractured right foreleg at Hollywood and was euthanized.

Royalsaly - 6/19/07 at 9.  Lost to colic.  April filly by Say Florida Sandy.

Run Prissy Run - 3/5/07 at 16.  LA 2002 broodmare of the year, died of apparent heart attack.

Runaway Groom - 6/8/07 at 28.   Stakes winner and prominent sire euthanized due to infirmities of old age.  He had been pensioned in February.

Sahm - 3/20/07 at 13 following prolonged intestinal tract illness.

Sassy - 5/15/07 at 3.   Bay filly was euthanized following shedrow accident at Churchill Downs.  RIP.

Satin Storm - 2/2007, Storm Creek mare died at 4 from colic

Sayyedati (GB) - 8/2007 at 17.  Multiple Group 1 winner, she leaves a 2007 Storm Cat filly.

Scorpius - 10/17/07 at 4.  Fractured sesamoids and was euthanized.

Seattle Dancer - June 2007 at age 23.  Best remembered as the $13.1 million Nijinsky II - My Charmer, by Poker yearling, Seattle Dancer died of a heart attack at Gestut Auenquelle, Germany.

Seattle Shamus - 9/05/07 at 8 from colic complications.

Shadea (NZ) - 7/16/07 at 19.  In foal to Viscount (AUS), she was found dead in her paddock.

Shadroullez (FR)  - 3/31/07 at 5.  Fell at Auteuil and was euthanized on track.

Shake - 8/10/07 at 4.  Collapsed and died due to pulmonary hemorrhage racing at Arlington Park.

Sharkey's Review - 7/2007 at 9 of Potomac fever.

Sharon Brown - 7/28/07 at 27.  Dam of Holy Bull euthanized due to the infirmities of old age.  She was buried at Kinsman Farm in Ocala.

Sheezawildkat - 4/2007 at 11 after foaling a Jazz Club colt.  Colt put on nurse mare.

Silver Buck - 10/4/07 at 29.  Euthanized due to the infirmities of old age.  Pensioned since 2001, the Grade 1 winner and sire of Silver Charm was buried at Bridlewood Farm, Ocala, FL.

Silver State -  10/2/07  at 3.   Euthanized due to post surgical complications following surgery for August knee injury sustained while training at Del Mar. 

Simply Because - 1/29/07 at 5 - injured in training at Del Mar in July 2006, every effort was made to save her over the course of months with surgery and prosthetic limb.  Euthanized due to peritonitis.

Sinister G - 5/8/07 at 6.  Winner of  2004 Lanes End was euthanized due to complications of colic.

Slew o' Gold - 10/14/07 at 27.  Euthanized due to the infirmities of old age.  The first stallion to stand at Three Chimneys, the two time Eclipse award winner will be buried there.

Social Slewpy - 7/5/07 at 5.  Broke down at Hollywood Park and was euthanized on track.

Souvenir Sands - 11/25/07 at 5.  Euthanized due to race related injuries per track.

Soviet Lad - 2/16/07 at 22 of heart attack following bout of pneumonia at Park Crest Stud in  Tasmania.

Spanish Music - 8/3/07 at 4.  Broke down racing at Monmouth and was euthanized.

Sports Town - 6/29/07 at 3.  Euthanized at New Bolton Center after laminitis developing in 3 feet while being treated for severe staph infection in left hind leg.

Straight Flush - 9/8/07 at 32.  Half brother to Secretariat was rescued from kill pen in 1999 and lived the rest of his life with loving care.  He  died in his sleep under his favorite tree, per owner.

Straight From Maui - 1/16/07 at 4 - fell from heart attack at Penn Natl.

Suggest - 2007 at 15.  Cal bred allowance winner.

Sun Boat (GB) - 9/18/07 at 5. Euthanized due to laminitis.

Super Frolic - 9/15/07 at age 7.  Retired in 2006 to stallion duty, he did not book enough mares and was returned to racing in 2007.  He shattered front sesamoid in the Presque Isle Downs Mile and was euthanized.

Super Impose - 3/23/07 at 22.  Euthanized due to infirmities of old age.

Supervisor - 10/13/07 at 7.   Collapsed after finish line in Spend a Buck S at Calder, and died.

Swedish Radar - 9/2/07 at 6.  Fractured left front sesamoids and was euthanized.

Sweet Eileen - 4/12/07 at 4.  While racing at Hawthorne, appeared to have a heart attack.

Swept Gold - 2/23/07 at 4.  Placed in 6 of 8 starts, bay filly was euthanized following breakdown at Fair Grounds.

Taneum Spirit - 8/2/07 at 3.  Fractured right front leg and was euthanized per track.

Ten Cents a Shine - 5/6/07 at 7.   Broke down in training race  at Winterthur steeplechase meet.

Terry Malloy - 3/22/07 at 5.  Broke down at Penn Natl and was euthanized.

The Yips - 6/28/07 at 4. Broke down Belmont Park and was euthanized on track.

Three Degrees (IRE) - 5/28/07 at 5. Broke down at wire in 4th place finish in Gamely BCH at Hollywood Park on the turf.  Suffered torn suspensory ligament in left front and was euthanized on the track.

Tiffany Ice - 4/2007 at 25.  Euthanized due to cancerous tumors and the infirmities of old age.

Tirol -summer of 2007 at 20.  Died of colic in India where he had stood since 1997, siring multiple stakes winners.

Touchdown - 2/13 at 4 - broke down at Philadelphia Park in Allowance Sprint and was euthanized.

Traki Traki - 4/14/07 at 20.  Dam of Bushfire, ruptured uterine artery after  foaling Closing Argument filly, developed peritonitis, and was euthanized.

Tropical Star (IRE) - 2/23/07 at 7 -flipped in paddock accident at Nad al Sheba and was euthanized when found to be paralyzed in hindquarters.

Truckers Tavern (IRE)  - 2/24/07 at 12, heart attack during running of the Eider Chase, UK

Turbo Launch - 6/5/07 at 22.  Had foaled Orientate filly 5/21.  Found dead in field of severe colic, filly on nurse mare.

Unnamed yearling colt (Mr. Greeley - One Fit Lady, by Fit to Fight) - 1/31/07 - perished in barn fire at Tarleton Farm near Paris, KY.

Unrestricted - 9/13/07 at 3.  Fractured right front cannon bone and was euthanized.

Valid Revenge - 7/6/07 at 5.  Fell after wire at Fairmount Park and was euthanized on track.

Valid Wager - 5/15/07 at 15.  Euthanized due to cancer complications.

Vaudeville - 2/16/07 at 16, was euthanized due to front leg bone issues.

Venn Ottery - 2/10/07 at 12 - hurdler in England was euthanized after being pulled up and found to have fractured pelvis.

Vernon Castle - 8/2007 at 24.  Multiple graded stakes winner and California sire.

Victory Warrior - 4/17/07 at 4.  Broke down at Philadelphia Park and was euthanized.

Voulez Vous - 3/4/07 at 3.  Took a swift lead in La Habre Stakes on turf at Santa Anita.  Broke down when crossing the dirt.  Euthanized with compound fractures.

Waitingonasunnyday - 9/2/07 at 5.    Fractured left front sesamoids and was euthanized.

Walter Ringer - 2/19/07 at 6 - broke down at winning finish at Bay Meadows and euthanized.

Waquoit - 6/14/07 at 24.  Euthanized due to the infirmities of old age.

War - 8/2007 at 23.  Euthanized due to complications of arthritis.

Weekend Trip (CHI) - 12/31/07 at 3.  Euthanized following injury in workout.

Western Playboy - 4/2007 G1 winner died of apparent heart attack at age 21 at farm where he was foaled, raised, stood, and was buried.

Who Doctor Who - 2/22/07 at 24.  Popular Nebraska bred stakes winner, euthanized due to laminitis.

Wicked Witchcraft - stakes winner and dam of The Wicked North died 3/27/07 at 27.  Natural causes.

Wild Blonde - 11/18/07 at 4.  Clipped heels and fell, sustaining injuries which led to euthanasia on track.

Wild Fit - 12/2006 at 3 - the beautiful gray filly died following a battle with colic.

Willyanwoody - 11/17/7 fell during running of hurdle race at Cheltenham, breaking his back, and was euthanized.

Windicator  (formerly Champara (IRE) - 2/14/07 at 4 - bay geldying by Monashee Mountain collapsed and died following 2nd place finish in Hong Kong.

Winsome Eris - 2007 at age 23.  Stakes placed Cal bred mare.

Wise Mandate - 12/11/07 at 2.  Fractured sesamoids following Hollywood work and was euthanized.

Woodman - 7/19/07 at 24.  Euthanized due to the infirmities of old age.  Woodman has more than 40 mares confirmed in foal for the 2007 breeding season.

Zaccio - 9/19/07 at 31.  Steeplechase champion, multiple Eclipse Award winner  euthanized due to the infirmities of old age.

Zcake - 5/4/07 at 4 - threw rider in post parade at Fairmount Park, ran off and was loaded, broke down past wire in race, and was euthanized.

Zuppardo's Prince - Euthanized 8/24/07 at 31.  Pensioned since 2003, he was the 10 time leading  Louisiana sire.

Aquilegia - 3/8/07 at 18.  Stakes winner and dam of Bertolini, euthanized due to complications of foaling.  Giant's Causeway foal also died.

Arbuckle Bandit - 1/13/07 at 4 - b G 2003 -collapsed during Col. E.R. Bradley H, heart attack.

Arwon - 5/25/07 at 33.  Oldest living winner of the Melbourne Cup was euthanized due to the infirmities of old age.

Aryenne - Dam of Quest for Fame, by Rainbow Quest, died 7/9 at 30.

Ashby Hill - 11/15/07 at 5.  Collapsed and died when artery detached from heart during race at Golden Gate Fields.

Astra - 6/13 at 11.  Multiple G1 winner euthanized due to complications of colic.  Her April El Prado (IRE) filly has been placed on a nurse mare.

Badtotheboneandrew - 2/3/07 at 4 - passed away following his race in LA Premier Night Champion Stakes at Delta Downs.

Banker' s Jet - 7/23/07 euthanized due to complications of arthritis at 25.  Rescued by Raymond Roy of  TRF in the early 90's after being found near starvation in a NY riding stable, the multiple stakes winner lived out the rest of his days Roy's farm after first being placed at Walkill.

Bardy Woman - 2/4/07 at 6 - broke down and was euthanized at Santa Anita.

Barkley Sound - 4/28/07 at 3.  Broke down in the Derby Trial at Churchill and was euthanized.

Bay Story - 11/5/07 at 5.  Broke down during running of Lavazza Long Black at Fleminton Park, AUS, fracturing left hind leg and was euthanized.

Became a Lark - 12/12/07.  Pensioned in 1999, the stakes winner and producer passed away at 33.

Blazing Shot Glass - 3/4/07 at 5.  Chestnut gelding euthanized following breakdown at Rillito.

Blue on Blues - 3/7/07 at 5.  Suspected heart attack

Bluegrass Warrior - 8/2007 at age 22.

Blues Nugget - 5/21/07 at 4.  Broke down while leading at Philadelphia Park and was euthanized.

Bo Chime - 3/6/07 at 4.  Fell over broken down winner after finish at Sunland Park and was euthanized.

Bondage - 12/15/07 at 4.  Fractured left front and was euthanized.

Bonza Crop - 6/11/07 at 2.  Fractured leg and was euthanized.

Bowman's Crossing (IRE) - in Hong Kong, 3/31/07 at 8.  Collided with another horse during workout, fracturing right front, and was euthanized.  Was 2nd in 2003 Hong Kong Mile.

Breath Buster - 11/5/07 at 3.  Suffered fatal injury during work at Aqueduct and was euthanized.

Bright Candles - Graded stakes winner and produced was euthanized 3/13/07 at age 20 following foaling complications.  The Mr. Greeley colt was saved.

Bright One - 3/3/07 at 4.  Exceptional colt euthanized due to broken sesamoid in Richter Scale BCH, where he finished 4th.

Brother Bobby - 10/30/07 at 4.  Virus induced laminitis.  A great race horse and, more importantly, a horse who was well loved.

Bucksplasher - October 2007 at age 30.  Bucksplasher had been pensioned at Irish Acres Farm, Ocala, FL.

Burooj - 2/2007 at 17 in Brazil of colic.

Cadillac Cruiser - 2/3/07 at 5 - broke down Aqueduct and was euthanized

Camden Park - 6/21/07 at 9, died of toxic shock at Hemel 'n Aarde Stud, South Africa from toxic shot resulting from tear in large intestine.

Candy Box - 5/7/07 at 5.  Broke down while working at Belmont Park and was euthanized.  Stakes winner and half sister to Beta Capo and Alpha Capo.

Candy Stripes - 2/28/07 at 25.   Preeminent South American sire (Invasor, Leroidesanimeaux, brookmare sire of Candy Ride), euthanized due to colic.

Cantrel - 9/1/07 at 3.  Fractured sesamoid in right front at Presque Isle when taking bad step during first race on new synthetic surface and was euthanized.

Capote - 8/24/07 at 23.  Euthanized due to the infirmities of old age.  Pensioned since 2003, he was the 2 year old champion of 1986 and held a position among the top Thoroughbred sires of 1996.  Capote was also a participant in the Moneigh project for ReRun to benefit the Thoroughbred adoption program.  The work of Capote, to the left, is in the private collection of FlyingFilly.  Capote was buried at Three Chimneys Farm, KY.

Carmel My Belle - 8/10/07 at 3.  Broke down at Arlington Park suffering a fractured cannon bone and was euthanized.

Carnivalay - 1/9/07 at 26 - b H 1981 - pensioned at end of 2003, heart attack at Country Life Farm.

Casino Evil - 11/4/07 at 4.  Shattered left front medial sesamoids in Ack Ack Handicap.  Efforts to save him were to no avail and he was peacefully euthanized the following evening.

Catbird (AUS) - 6/10/07 at 11.  Leading Australian sire was euthanized due to post surgical complications of laminitis.

Catch a Bird - 4/23/07 at 25.  New Zealand brindle patterned horse euthanized after leg fracture.

Cat's at Home - Died suddenly on  3/24/07 at age 10 at Windfield's Farm, ON.  He will be buried at Windfield's Farm.

Cefis - 1/2007 at 22 - pensioned at Middle Creek Farm, NY died of apparent heart attack.

Celtic Blue - 7/27/07 at 2.  Broke down working on Oklahoma turf course at Saratoga and was euthanized.

Chace City - 1/16/07 at 3 - Saratoga Special winning son of Carson City euthanized following intestinal impaction.

Cheeky Lady - 4/10/07 at 10.  Fell during Irish Grand National and was euthanized.

Chelsey Flower - 3/13/07 at 16 developed peritonitis after foaling.  The colt by Dixie Union was born healthy and is doing well with nurse mare.  She has been buried at Crestfield Farm.

Chestnut Gold - 11/30/07 at 3.  Euthanized after breakdown and fall at Hawthorne.

Chilukki - 5/7/07 at 10 1999 Champion Juvenile Filly died due to foaling complicatons.    Ghostzapper colt also died.

Charming Hostess - 11/22/07 at 2 .  Pulled up during work at Hollywood and was euthanized due to injuries received.

Classy Pride - 3/6/07 at 4. Bay mare broke down after win at Sunland Park and was euthanized.

Coastal Eddy - 12/2/07 at 2.  Knee injury in work at Hollywood and was euthanized.

Coggins Hill - 6/15/07 at 5.  Broke down at Canterbury Allowance on turf  and was euthanized.

Coin of Truth - 8/9/07 at 5.  Euthanized following breakdown at Arlington.

Colonial Rose - 12/9/07 at 3.  Euthanized following win when, past post, suffered multiple fractures.

Commander in Chief - 6/12/07 at 17.  Euthanized following accident at Yushun Stallion Station, Japan, resulting in fracture of  right hind leg.

Comingupforair - 8/3/7 at 7.  Broke down at Penn National and was euthanized.

Confident One - 7/26/07 at 3.  Fractured right front leg and was euthanized per track.

Copracabana - 11/3/07 at 2.  Sweet and well loved filly sustained training injury and was humanely euthanized. 

Cormorant - 5/4/07 at 33.  Sire of Derby winner Go For Gin, Cormorant, himself at GI winner, was pensioned at Waldorf Farm in NY in 1996 and lived out his days there.

Craftybutwicked - 4/10/07 at 4.  Broke down in training accident at Belmont Park.

Crunch the Numbers - 5/31/07 at 5.  Broke down in training at Aqueduct and was euthanized.

Cutlass Reality - 10/5/07 at 25.  Euthanized due to laminis.

Dance Smartly - 8/19/07 at 19.  Euthanized following paddock accident causing irreparable damage to arthritic stifle.

Dantrelle Light - 11/18/07 at 3. Broke down while in the lead of Stormy Frolic Stakes at Calder and was euthanized on track.

Dapper Prospect - 10/14/07 at 2.  Fell and was euthanized due to injuries.

Daylami Star -  5/10/07 at 4.  Fatally injured in the running of the Sporting Press Tipperary Perpetual Cup Handicap.

Defensive Play - 11/20/07 at 20.  Sire of 2007 Melbourne Cup winner Efficient, he was a Grade 1 winner on both turf and dirt.  No cause was stated for his death.

Desert Wine - 10/15/07 at 23.  Succumbed to suspected heart attack in his paddock at St. Hilaire Farm, WA.  He was buried at the farm.

Dixie Dot Com - 4/26/07 at 12.  Apparent heart attack.

Dixie Friend - 4/6/07 4 year old gelding broke down Penn Natl and was euthanized.

Dixieland Brass - 2007 at 21.  Euthanized due to liver malfunction and buried at Flying Horse Farm, British Columbia.

Doubledowner - 8/10/07 at 3.  Fractured leg and was euthanized per track.

Dr. Mon - 3/31/07 at 4.  Broke down at Aqueduct and was euthanized.

Dream of Angels - 10/6/07 at 3.  Flipped in paddock accident, fracturing skull and was euthanized.
